About Us

Built by Trichologists. Backed by Experience. Designed to Raise the Bar.

Three perspectives. One shared mission: to bring clarity, connection, and credibility to hair and scalp health—one practitioner, one client, one case at a time.

Why We Started The Hair Wire

For the Public (Clients/General Audience)

We created The Hair Wire to bring clarity, connection, and trusted answers to people struggling with hair and scalp issues.

Hair loss isn’t just cosmetic—it’s deeply emotional, often misunderstood, and rarely treated at the root. We saw firsthand how many people were dismissed, misdiagnosed, or stuck in a loop of trial-and-error. The three of us came together because we were tired of seeing people fall through the cracks. Each of us brings a unique lens—clinical, holistic, and generational—but we all believe in the same thing: real results come from understanding the full picture, not just the symptom.

The Hair Wire is where that understanding begins. We built this platform to help you access real education, real experts, and real care—so you don’t have to keep figuring it out on your own.

Raising the Standard in Trichology

For Professionals (Trichologists & Industry Practitioners)

The Hair Wire was born from three trichologists, three perspectives, and one shared mission—to raise the standard and support the people behind the practice.

What We’re Doing Here: If you’re in this work, you’ve probably felt it—disconnected training, outdated frameworks, and a total lack of mentorship. We’ve felt it too.

Between the three of us, we’ve studied, practiced, and taught trichology around the world. But even with all that experience, we kept hitting the same wall: a broken system that left professionals unsupported, overwhelmed, and often isolated. That’s why we created The Hair Wire. A hub for connection, credibility, and collaboration. Through our Faculty of Trichology, resource library, and practical tools, we’re here to help you deepen your practice and elevate your impact—without the burnout.

Whether you’re just starting out or decades into the work, this is your space to grow with integrity, support, and a clear path forward.

Sergio Cardona

Niche: Technical Foundations

Learn More About Sergio

Sergio Cardona brings generational expertise to The Hair Wire as a second-generation Trichologist trained under the uncompromising standards of his father, a pioneer in Puerto Rican barbering and trichology education. His path started early—he began studying trichology in high school, working side-by-side with his father, and eventually earned his certificate only after completing a Biology degree and proving he was ready to carry the family legacy forward.

Rooted in both scientific training and lived tradition, Sergio blends textbook knowledge with hands-on mastery. He’s taught hundreds of professionals across Latin America and beyond, building a reputation for his practical, no-fluff teaching style and sharp clinical eye.

He also runs a successful private practice, where his work spans everything from complex diagnostic cases to mentorship for emerging trichologists. Over the years, he’s built an extensive training library filled with real-world, case-based insights—always centred on what actually works in practice.

At The Hair Wire, Sergio leads the charge in technical education, protocol development, and practitioner case reviews. His role in the Faculty of Trichology anchors the curriculum in tradition, clinical rigour, and clarity.

His gift? Teaching trichologists how to see—not just with their eyes, but with discernment sharpened by decades of experience. He honours the roots of this work while boldly evolving it for the next generation.

Kerri Jarrett

Niche: Epigenetics

Learn More About Kerri

Kerri Jarrett is a Certified Trichologist with over two decades of experience in clinical hair and scalp care, advanced cosmetology, and education. She’s trained extensively in trichological diagnostics, scalp neurology, and hair loss treatment—while also diving deep into the psychosomatic and behavioural patterns that show up through the hair.

Her approach is equal parts science, strategy, and self-awareness. Kerri doesn’t treat hair loss at the surface—she reads the patterns, the person, and the body behind it. With a background that bridges trichology, somatic practices, and cognitive therapies, she’s known for her ability to connect hair symptoms to deeper root causes, both physical and emotional.

Kerri is also a serial entrepreneur and creative director, known for building brands and educational tools that are both clinically credible and deeply human. She’s the founder of multiple businesses, including her intention-driven jewelry line, Sentimental Gems, and now serves as the strategic and creative lead at The Hair Wire.

At The Hair Wire, she oversees curriculum design, practitioner development, and brand positioning for the Faculty of Trichology—offering grounded, real-world training for trichologists ready to go deeper and grow bigger.

Her gift? Translating complexity into clarity. Helping trichologists understand the “why” beneath the symptom. And reminding everyone that hair never lies—it’s always telling a story, if you know how to listen.

Myth vs. Fact

Myth: Cutting your hair makes it grow faster.

Fact: Cutting doesn’t affect growth from the root — but it does reduce breakage, helping it look fuller, healthier, and preventing more breakage.

Myth: Dandruff means your scalp is dry.

Fact: Most dandruff is actually due to an overgrowth of yeast on an oily scalp — not dryness! Always get a proper diagnosis.

Myth: You can “train” your scalp to produce less oil.

Fact: Your scalp’s oil production is determined by hormones, hydration, not washing habits. Overwashing can make it worse.

Myth: Natural oils can fully replace conditioner.

Fact: Oils sit on the hair; conditioners penetrate into it. Oils are great, but they’re not a one-for-one substitute.

Myth: Stress makes your hair fall out immediately.

Fact: Telogen effluvium (stress-related shedding) usually kicks in about 8–12 weeks after a stressful event — so it’s often delayed and unexpected.

The Hair Wire

We’re more than hair. We’re a community, an education platform and a movement.

Our mission is to raise the standard — reigniting the heart of this industry with integrity, purpose, and connection. We’re also committed to bridging the gap between cosmetology, dermatology, and general practice, creating a more collaborative and informed approach to hair and scalp health.
